The title company will conduct a title search and ensure there are no outstanding liens or issues with the property's ownership.
Prepare for the closing by gathering the necessary documents and coordinating with all parties involved. They will need your
survey for the property, and you will need to notarise an affidavit called a T47 certifying anything having to do with the layout
of your property and any changes since you purchased it. Also, you will provide any and all personal information, such as ss
numbers, loan account numbers, etc., to the Escrow Officer of the title company. Having a close working relationship with
your Escrow Officer is important to cover critical dates when you do have a contract.
