4
>
During work experience, the student may have spare
time when these activities can be used as a resource
>
The student can tell the employer they have the
pack so the employer knows the student can be
engaged in doing work-related activities in case
there is spare time
>
The pack can be used in school by Guidance
Counsellors, TY co-ordinators and MFL teachers
Reflection what the student has learned
>
In the world of work we often have to assess our
work by ourselves - it may be a new experience
not to have a teacher correct or guide the
student but in a working environment a level
of independent self-assessment is the norm
>
Can-do descriptors are included with each task and
can be used for self-assessment. The student can
record their learning in a portfolio, set further
learning goals and include reflections on learning.
The student will also be able to record and share
progress by exhibiting work in the classroom, on TY
graduation night for example. The learning during
the course can be presented in many formats:
posters, recordings, videos, etc.
