Language Adventures:
Embracing Languages and Cultures
in Primary School
This resource contains suggested activities, designed to
help schools and teachers foster a positive climate in
which diferent languages and cultures can be explored
and awareness around these languages and cultures can
be raised. We hope that you will ûnd some of the ideas
useful and practical within your context.
There are two sections to this resource. The ûrst section
contains suggestions to consider as a whole school, while
the second part explores ideas for use in the classroom.
Both sections begin with a short number of prompts for
reüection, followed by a paragraph which explores the
rationale and supporting pedagogies and ûnally, a
selection of ideas for practical application.
