Summer work as Au pair
Working as an au pair during the summer involves
a temporary stay with a family, being included as a
family member, improving language skills, helping out
with childcare and doing some light housework. It can
be a very cost‑effective way of improving a students’
language skills. In countries where there are appropriate
programmes, au pairs have a positive experience
and return home with improved language skills.
