Work Experience Abroad
Work experience abroad is an excellent experience. It
improves students’ language skills, their confidence,
their knowledge of how things are done differently in
other countries, and it looks impressive on their CV.
The world population is growing at a significant rate, and
globalisation means that it is easier than ever to travel and
work abroad, with more competition for jobs. Students need
to stand out, and the initiative needed to organise work
experience abroad is something that will stand out on a CV.
Students need to organise their own work experience.
Language teachers and guidance counsellors should
encourage them, and help them with suggestions at the
very beginning, but after that it needs to be students
and their parents that do all the organisation.
