Skills to the Next Level
There are so many opportunities to
continue studying your languages at Third
Level. You can study a language at Major
or Minor Level or choose one as an Elective
on many courses nationwide.
To find out more about what languages are
available with different courses, check out

CareersPortal.ie. You can search by language,
by subject area or by location, etc.
Study Abroad
Many courses include an Erasmus year or term
of study or work abroad. This is an amazing
opportunity for growth – not only do you
get to travel and see a new country, but you
also get to meet lots of interesting people of
many different nationalities. It is also the best
way to improve your language skills. Being
immersed in another culture and way of life
gives you an understanding of the world
from a different perspective.
