A brief introduction to CLIL
Explain that we will be adopting a new approach to language learning during this module.
Rather than focusing on language and grammar we are focusing on teaching/learning facts, ideas etc.
through French.
It is like teaching/learning History or Geography etc. through French, but on a simpler level.
Grammar is not the focus of the lesson, but communication and content are.
Ask the question on the slide for students to reflect and offer suggestions.
Answer: We need to learn different types of language to communicate.
