New Market
Founded in 1793 when George Washington was president, The Town of
New Market is the colonial rest stop that still warmly welcomes visitors
today. The well-preserved, historical structures in this charming linear
National Pike town are now home to established antique shops, new
relaxed, friendly dining venues and unique boutiques. Stroll this historic
Main Street and follow the Heart of the Civil War GeoTrail, take in the
Butterfly Garden and Art on Main sculpture at the Community Park,
mosey down a lovely walking path or enjoy a quiet moment in the Town’s
micro-park. New Market’s blend of history and modern businesses make
it an interesting place to visit for a morning, afternoon or evening.
Just a 5 minute drive from Main Street, the whole family will have fun
