THE CHAMBER
Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce staff, board
members and volunteers are busy year-round. These are just
a few of their programs. Get involved today!
Advocacy & Public Affairs: This committee helps
to promote public policy initiatives that will help position
Nacogdoches County to prosper.

Education: These programs, administered by the
Nacogdoches County Chamber Foundation, enhance the
quality of life for individuals of Nacogdoches County by
linking business, education, economic development and the
community to support leadership, academic growth and
workforce readiness.
Eggs & Issues: This monthly breakfast series meeting
features high-profile speakers and informs the business
community of important issues.
Government Affairs Committee: This committee
monitors state, local and federal issues that are
important to Nacogdoches County. In partnership with
the Lufkin/Angelina Chamber of Commerce, they host
Chamber Days in Austin. In 2024, the committee will
host the Lone Star Legislative Summit in Nacogdoches
and communicate with elected and appointed officials.
Leadership Nacogdoches: This nine-month
training is a Nacogdoches County Chamber
Foundation program that develops new leaders in
our community. Participants learn about the driving
forces and services in Nacogdoches while developing
personal strengths and valuable skills.
Member Success Orientation: This initiative
explains Chamber programs and benefits to new and
prospective members, highlighting the tools available
for maximizing a Chamber membership.
Alive After Five: This after-hours business mixer brings
people together at a Chamber member’s location to spotlight
that business.
Nacogdoches Chamber Stakeholder Call: This
bi-weekly video conference brings community leaders
together through an online format for brief, regular reports
in their respective areas. Special guests are invited to deliver
presentations that address a wide variety of topics for the
business community.
Business Development: The Business Development Series
assists in educating businesses on current best practices,
providing opportunities for professional development and
delivering up-to-date information on relevant topics.
Retirement Marketing & Recruitment Committee:
This group assists in marketing Nacogdoches as a premier
retirement community.
Chamber Stars: This group is the public relations arm
of the Chamber, assisting with ribbon cuttings, grand
openings and groundbreaking services and support. In
addition, they maintain contact with current members to
determine member needs.
SFA-Chamber Connection: This committee includes
special programs such as Business Internships and hosting the
Paint the Town Purple Blitz. They develop contacts at SFA that
can be used as resources for the business community, lead
Chamber efforts in helping SFA recruit students and help
businesses reach students and parents as potential customers.
