employers, educators, health care providers and volunteers
across our county. From longtime local stalwarts to

students. Explore the LaNana Creek Trail, which links
the Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden to the Piney Woods
Native Plant Center, and wander through a stunning
collection of plants, from elegant native species to stately
Japanese maples. Experience the serenity of simpler times
at Millard’s Crossing, a collection of restored 19th century
buildings.
Be sure to make time for some relaxing recreational
activities, as well. Head outdoors and enjoy fishing,
camping, hiking and boating at Lake
Nacogdoches, Lake Naconiche
and Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Take
