Congregational Care at Plymouth
By Pastor LeAnn Stubbs (she/her)
In a healthy, spiritually mature
congregation, care of others is the
responsibility not only of its pastors
and staff, but of the entire church
membership, enabled by the love of God.
God’s radical love is always present, at
crisis moments and in our daily living,
most often through the open hearts,
hands, and ears of God’s people. A prayer,
a meal, a safe place to voice concerns and
questions, these are signs of God’s grace.
This is who Plymouth people are to each
other. On this page, find opportunities to
connect and belong.
Nine-to-Dine
Nine-To-Dine was established more than
25 years ago as a small-group endeavor to
help members get to know one another
on a more personal level. Each group
is comprised of about nine people and
typically meets from October to June.
Groups meet monthly to dine together,
with each member taking a turn selecting
a restaurant or hosting a dinner in their
home. Adult groups will be a combination
of couples and singles. There is also a lunch
group option and an in-home option for
families with children. Scan
the QR Code to sign up for
Nine-to-Dine. Registration
closes October 6.

Hospitalizations
Plymouth’s pastors extend the care and
support of this faith community during
hospital stays. Please call the church office
at (515) 255-3149 whenever you or a loved
one are admitted to the hospital. Due to
privacy laws and short hospital stays, it is
unlikely Plymouth Pastors will hear of a
hospitalization unless you reach out.
Stephen Ministry
A Stephen Minister is a highly trained
and highly confidential lay person. Not
an expert or a therapist, rather, they are
people of faith who walk alongside and
share a journey for a time. Listening,
presence, compassion, and prayer are their
tools. For information about Stephen
Ministry training, or securing the care of
a Stephen Minister, please contact Pastor
LeAnn (lstubbs@plymouthchurch.com).
