OCT. 31 | Not Your Mummy’s Halloween Concert
NOV. 23-24 | Pie Weekend
On Halloween night Plymouth presents “Not Your Mummy’s
Halloween Concert,” beginning at 5 p.m. with a free community
dinner followed by the concert at 6 p.m. Join us (with or without
a costume) and bring a friend for a night of spooky classics and
pop Halloween favorites in fun for the whole family. In addition,
we’ll enjoy fun games, prizes, a costume contest parade, and more
surprises! Costumes are not required but encouraged.
Pie Sunday at Plymouth holds special significance in our hearts,
as we set aside time to give thanks for our blessings throughout
the year, especially at this time of harvest. We will sing the
traditional Thanksgiving hymns of the church, the choirs will
present special music, and the Plymouth Brass will add to
worship on this special day. Complete this special day by joining
us for pie in Waveland Hall following worship to celebrate the
of our Stewardship campaign!
NOV. 2-3 | All Saints’ Weekend
All Saints’ Weekend
All Saints is a day of remembrance for the saints, with the New
Testament meaning of all Christian people of every time and
place. We celebrate the communion of saints as we remember
the dead, both of the Church universal and of our local
congregation. We will commemorate this special day with music
and a liturgy of remembrance for our dearly departed Saints.
All Saints’ Potluck
Bring a dish to share and celebrate the Saints in your life on
Saturday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. after Worship in Waveland Hall or on
Sunday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m.
NOV. 5 | Election Day Vigil
On Election Day, our Sanctuary will be open all day for people
to drop by and offer prayers for our country and state.
NOV. 9-10 | Guest Preacher: Julian Reid
Join us for respite and Sanctuary following a long political season
on this weekend when we depart from or usual worship order for
a time of Comfort, Sanctuary, Story, Rest, Pause, and Play.
NOV. 30 & DEC. 1 | Advent 1
The weeks before Christmas are a time of preparation known as
Advent, which means “coming” or “visit.” The early Christians
kept in mind both “advents” of Christ, the first in Bethlehem
and the second yet to come. Christians prepare welcome Jesus
into our hearts again this Christmas by celebrating his birth.
