2024 Fall and Advent Schedule
We have a lot to look forward to this fall and winter at
Plymouth Church. Below are just some of the big events
happening in worship and beyond. We hope you’ll mark these
dates on your calendar!
SEPT. 7-8 | Fall Kick-Off Weekend
Join us as we return to our regular worship schedule with church
school and the Music & Arts program. On Sunday, the Matins
& Chancel Choirs will combine, along with the Plymouth Brass,
at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
SEPT. 14-15 | Ministry Fair
Plymouth is blessed to have so many active boards and
committees. Stop by Waveland Hall and Common Grounds
after worship on Saturday and Sunday to learn how you can
become more involved in the life at Plymouth.
SEPT. 21-22 | Stewardship Campaign Begins
Join us as we welcome the Children’s Choir back to 9 a.m. worship
and kick off the 2025 Stewardship Campaign with stories of the
good work made possible through Plymouth Church.
SEPT. 28 | Pet Blessing
Plymouth pet parents and families are invited to bring your furry
family members to our annual Pet Blessing service at 2 p.m. The
event will be held on the front lawn (facing Ingersoll Avenue).
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the lower
parking level. All animals are welcome as long as they are either
on a leash or caged.
SEPT. 29 | Fall Family Field Trip
Plymouth children and families are invited to join us for our Fall
Field Trip to Jester Park Equestrian Center (11171 NW 103rd
Ct, Granger, IA) from 1-4 p.m. We’ll have wagon rides, outdoor
activities and a bonfire with s’mores! This event is free and open
to all, including non-Plymouth guests.
OCT. 5-6 | World Communion Weekend
World Communion Sunday takes place on the first Sunday
of October each year. It’s a day that celebrates unity among
Christian churches of different denominations through
the shared observance of Holy Communion. On World
Communion Sunday, Christians break bread and pour wine or
juice to remember and affirm Christ as the Head of the Church.
