COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT
ERIN MOYNIHAN & ELSIE BRAULT
Plymouth’s Communication Department has had a very busy
year! We launched a brand-new website, published four issues
of Plymouth Church Magazine, and rebranded all external
communications as “Plymouth News”. We also continue to
support boards, committees, and staff with graphic, digital, and
branding needs.
Plymouth Church Magazine continues to be well received, and
in fact, we ran out of printed copies of our 2024 spring issue!
We’re blessed to have so many talented writers and journalists
who consistently contribute stellar work to our publication.
We’re looking forward to the upcoming summer issue which is
focused on telling the stories of Plymouth.
Plymouth’s social media presence has seen a significant increase
in engagement this past year. On average, we reach 20,000
people organically every 28 days on our platforms. We are now
examining ways to boost our posts including paid advertisement
through Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
Elsie Brault has been a critical part of our success thanks to her
brilliant graphic design skills. Because of her expertise, Plymouth
produces dynamic and professional work that helps amplify
our ministry inside and outside the church. Elsie is also behind
much of the printed materials you see at the Welcome Desk and
brochures for events and committees.
Last year, the Communications Department took over the
management of the Media Team with the assistance of Craig
Bittick. We’re very thankful to Craig, Jack Porter, Andrew
Downs, and Kalya Korthavale for their commitment to ensuring
our worship services look and sound good for those attending in
person or watching online.
Alex Cooney also continues to be a vital partner in our
department. Alex volunteers his time to take photos, shoot
video, and even helps troubleshoot when our aging technology
doesn’t always cooperate.
Right now, the Communications Department is tackling the next
big project: a digital member directory. Working in partnership
with the Board of Membership, we’ll be slowly rolling out this
directory over the next several months. Our end goal is to create
a directory that’s easy to navigate, keeps information secure, and
allows our membership to better communication with each other.
