JB: There9s a friend from north Australia, a native Australian, who always speaks beautifully
and I remember him once talking about belonging and birthright. I remember him saying
that when you are somewhere and you give yourself to the land - when you hand yourself
over to the land - then that is that is your land. I9ve always really felt that and he sort of
categorized that it is about you almost sinking or melting as much as is possible into a
landscape, and not continuing to define yourself by wherever it is that you're from.
I see that in your choice to stay.
