COMBINATION CLADDING
Using a combination of claddings can provide variety
and bring a different feel to different areas of the house.
A concept that is used in a lot of architecturally designed
homes, different claddings can also make the most of the
diverse environmental factors that affect your location.
A uPVC weatherboard combined with a brick facade provides
an outstanding low maintenance option with a feature that
holds the afternoon warmth
Timber can bring warmth to a social courtyard or bricks
can merge in with a rocky background. This allows you
to pick and choose your moods as you walk around your
house.
Using different backgrounds can also make your house
more functional and efficient. Put bricks on the side of
the prevailing wind, use concrete to insulate from the
midday heat or use some of the darker claddings to
make the most of the sun’s warmth. This will allow your
house to be more in harmony with your environment
during the different seasons.
Mixing and matching claddings can also make your
budget go further. An expensive feature wall can be offset in cost by installing a less expensive cladding in a not
so visible area.
Ensure that when you are considering your cladding
options that you and your designers are fully aware
of all the options available by contacting your local
PlaceMakers expert.
