fires suitable for the unique demands of
Rural New Zealanders.
Rural and Hybrid Multi-Fuel fires achieve a
longer burn time and can be ignited more
efficiently and get burning a lot faster
due to having more air control function.
These fires are desired for their ability of an
overnight burn, providing heat all night and
a warm start to the morning with no stoking
or additional fuel required.
Hybrid Multi-Fuel fires have the ability
to burn fuel types other than traditional
firewood, including pre-manufactured,
compressed pellets and timber fire bricks.
Many models provide the ability to connect
storage water heaters, or space heating
emitters like small radiators and can be a
great off grid solution for smaller properties
and locations without access to power.
A minimum property area of 2 hectares is
required to install these fires, in accordance
with The Ministry for the Environment.
