Director’s Note
The 昀椀rst 6 Park Bench Plays were initially commissioned from 6 playwrights in the Summer of 2020. Nomad Theatrical Company (founded 1993)
performed these plays to small socially- distanced audiences in New York
City parks throughout the Autumn of 2020. For the Phoenix Festival we are
rebooting 3 of these plays with mostly new casting and presenting two new
ones, but the Park Bench remains the same. We hope you enjoy these unusual
encounters!
