Director’s Note
Vita & Virginia is a singular love story between two women, both of whom
had reached signi昀椀cant recognition as celebrities and authors. They were
privileged. Their relationship started in the roaring 20’s. Both were married
with strong marriages that gave them permission to follow their passions and
ardently pursue one another for over 20 years. The dialogue of the play is
derived from the correspondence between Virginia and Vita.
