KEVIN CONFOY (Resident Artist)(he/him)
Kevin Confoy is a Resident Director at Phoenix Theatre Ensemble:
The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, The Creditors, Dogg’s Hamlet, The
Painting, many readings and workshops. Kevin has produced new
plays by Joyce Carol Oates, David Mamet, Edward Allan Baker, Marsha
Norman, John Patrick Shanley, Oyamo, Quincy Confoy (Win For Life,
Winner Young Playwrights Festival), among many others. Awards
include: OBIE Award, (Producer, EST Marathon of One-Act Plays); Drama Desk Nomination
(Outstanding Revival, Acting Company). Grants: Arthur P. Sloan Foundation, Eileen Schloss
Fund for New Play Development, FLIK Fund for New Play Production. Kevin is a professor
of theater at Sarah Lawrence College.
TOM DUDZICK (Playwright)
Tom Dudzick is one of the few playwrights who makes a living at it.
His 昀椀rst play, a Christmas tale called Greetings!, opened at New York’s
John Houseman Theatre and starred Darren McGavin and Greg Edelman. It is now a holiday favorite across the country and has had well
over two hundred productions. His next play, Over the Tavern, the 昀椀rst
in a semi-autobiographical trilogy, has over three hundred productions
under its belt, with many box of昀椀ce records broken throughout the U.S. The Irish adaptation, Over the Pub, also broke the box of昀椀ce record at Cork Arts Theatre in Ireland. Tom has
written eight plays to date, most published by Playscripts, Inc. He was recently honored with
a memorial plaque embedded in front of his boyhood home in Buffalo. And an even greater
honor – he was once a question on Jeopardy!
ASHLEY EVERHART (Resident Artist) (she/her)
Ashley Everhart is a comedian, musician and actor from Shenandoah
County, Virginia, based in New York City. Ashley performs sketch and
character comedy regularly at comedy venues across NYC, including
Union Hall, Asylum NYC, Gotham Comedy Club, the PIT, the Magnet,
Under St. Mark’s, the Tank, and Caveat. She has performed two hourlong solo shows: Only Time (2019) and I Will Be Playing All the Parts
(2023). Select festivals: Coachella Comedy Festival (Finalist), Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, Reelabilities Festival, Seattle SketchFest. Ashley is a cast member on the sketch team
Big Apartment, now in its second season. She is also an accomplished saxophonist, vocalist,
and acoustic guitarist, having played venues such as 54 Below, Carnegie Hall, Green Room
42, Duane Park, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as a variety of regional
