‘BRICKS FOR KIDS’ WORKSHOP
Phoenix co-hosted a ‘Bricks for Kids’ event at the Alfreton SEN School
project with valued client, Henry Brothers.
The purpose built, single-storey building will be worth £13.2 million on
completion, with Phoenix providing Internal Drylining, Plastering and Masonry
packages since the project began in April.
Everyone involved at the event had a great time, with our site team on-hand providing demonstrations and supervising the children at their workstations while they
laid their own bricks and blocks, and when the day was done they were each given
a Phoenix ‘goodie’ bag to take home.
SUMMER HOLIDAY CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE
In August, Phoenix took part in the ‘Summer Holiday Construction Experience’ held by
client, Kier Construction on-site at Kirkby Leisure Centre.
The £15.5 million multi-trade package began in July with Phoenix undertaking the
Scaffolding & Edge protection as well as the Masonry & SFS packages.
A selection of 13 to 17-year-old students were given the opportunity to visit the new
project and help assist with the build under careful supervision from our dedicated site
team whilst learning more about the construction industry.
