OUR PHOENIX
APPRENTICES
We would like to give a special shout out to
Apprentice Oliver Thomas who has been
excelling in both his studies at college and his
work on site.
Phoenix recently supported Oliver with his entry
for The Association of Brickwork Contractors Ltd
Apprentice of the Year Award.
Oliver is a fantastic Apprentice and we are proud
to have him part of #teamPhoenix while he
develops his skills and learns the tricks of the
trade.
Oliver started with Phoenix on 1st November 2021 and has gone from strength to strength. He
is extremely keen and reliable; our Site Managers have a lot of time for Oliver. The progress he
has shown in his work and himself is a testimony to his daily efforts. Site Manager Neil Finch
(who has mentored Oliver) explained that Oliver has an excellent work attitude and great time
keeping. He has also stated that Oliver is going above and beyond in his work skills and is
already getting involved in the everyday tasks of a bricklayer. Which include: laying bricks to a
line, working very well and communicating as part of a team.

Apprentice of the year submission, he
highlighted his passion for bricklaying
and his ambitions for his future within
the trade. He hopes to have the
opportunity to lead his own bricklaying
gang and potentially guide an
Apprentice.

produce the best masonry work. Thank
