HEALTH & SAFETY
The safety standards at Phoenix Brickwork/ Drywall/ Scaffold have once again
continued to improve over the last 12 months. There has been a reduction in
work-related accidents of more than 60% throughout the business compared to
that from the previous year; whilst the reporting of Near Misses have risen by 270%
in the same period.
These figures are proof that using the Phoenix Near Miss Reporting QR code has
drastically reduced the number of accidents throughout the group.
As you are aware, we have now implemented our new QR-coded Anonymous
Reporting initiative, allowing all employees to report:
·Site and office issues.
·Any concerns i.e., method of works, PPE, working environment, workload, and
bullying.
·Improvement ideas and suggestions.
As with the Near Miss Reporting, the information gathered from Anonymous
Reporting will enable the Phoenix management to identify Health, Safety, Quality,
Environmental and Welfare issues and help us take a proactive approach whilst
planning and undertaking tasks, in turn, reducing our accident rate even further
towards our goal of becoming accident-free.
On behalf of myself and Kayleigh, we would like to thank everyone for embracing
the newly implemented systems and procedures. Furthermore, your commitment
to ensuring that you continue to take responsibility for your health, safety, and
wellbeing as well as your colleagues, has been recognised.
It is with the up most importance that we continue to maintain a positive Health
and Safety culture throughout the Phoenix Group and look forward to delivering
even more improvements throughout 2024.
