May 15th was the start of Mental
Health Awareness Week 2023 and
here at Phoenix Brickwork / Drywall /
Scaffold we are dedicated to keeping
the conversation around mental health
going in the Construction Industry.

to kickstart a nationwide conversation,
encouraging people to share their own
experiences and any helpful ideas on

Focusing on anxiety will increase
people's awareness and understanding
of anxiety by providing information on
the things that can help prevent it from
becoming a problem. Feelings of
anxiety are a natural response to stress
and something many people struggle
with daily.
Here are some tips on how to cope with
feelings of anxiety from the MENTAL HEALTH
FOUNDATION. Not only do they provide lots of
great resources, but they also aim to find and
address the sources of mental health problems
so that people and communities can thrive.
1. Focus on your breathing
2. Get moving
3. Keep a diary
4. Challenge your thoughts
5. Get support for money worries
6. Spend time in nature
7. Connect with people and talk about
how you feel
8. Try to get some quality sleep or rest
9. Try to eat healthy

advice, they also provide recourses and
contacts who can help with mental health.
