EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
During the past year, the Museum has signi昀椀cantly enriched the
educational landscape in North Texas through a comprehensive suite
of hands-on, informal STEM-learning experiences. These opportunities,
including camps, 昀椀eld trips, labs, and various on- and off-site activations,
are carefully guided by our team of trained educators, ensuring that
each interaction is not only educational, but also engaging and inspiring.
Our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity is particularly evident
through our outreach programs, which we proudly offer free of charge
to Title I schools and community organizations serving economically
disadvantaged children in North Texas. By extending our educational
resources beyond the Museum’s walls to schools and community
centers, we foster an environment where curiosity and learning 昀氀ourish,
underscoring our dedication to nurturing the next generation of
scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC
LIVE SPEAKER SERIES
Each year, the Museum hosts a three-part National Geographic speaker
series where international explorers amaze and inspire public audiences
with tales of their breathtaking adventures, incredible discoveries, and
dedication to protecting the world’s wildlife. The 2023 lineup included
paraclimber Maureen Beck on her amazing climbs as a one-handed
athlete, award-winning photographer and 昀椀lmmaker Ami Vitale on her
personal quest to protect international wildlife, and bioengineer Kakani
Katija on the ecosystems of the ocean’s midwaters.
