PeacePlayers South
Africa wins the KZN
Department of Sport
and Recreation,
Recreational Body of
the Year Award and
were 2019 Finalists.
The LDP (Leadership
Development
Program) grows to 250
participants and is
officially relaunched
at the 2019 Friendship
Games. This opportunity
was used to relaunch
the strategy of racially
diversified programmes
that reflect the national
statistics. The program
demographics are now
72% Black, 14% White,
13% Coloured, and
1% Other.
Life Skills Program
shifts back to a focus
on bridging divides
with a racial equity.
2017
PeacePlayers South Africa
updated their board
membership to reflect both
the gender statistics and racial
statistics, from a board that was
95% male and black dominated
to a board that represented all
national demographics of Black,
White, Indian an Coloured. Now
our board is 83% female and
17% male, with a hope to have a
50/50 split.
2021
PeacePlayers South
Africa wins the KZN
Department of Sport
and Recreation,
Recreational Body of
the Year Award for
the second time.
