PROTECTIVE INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS
UNDERSTANDING CUT
AND IMPACT PROTECTION
PIPĀ® gloves are tested to
ANSI and EN standards
Both standards test gloves for abrasion, cut, tear and puncture. Our safety managers
choose products that are tested and labeled in order to ensure the best possible
protection for the job being performed.

AMERICAN NATIONAL STANDARD
EUROPEAN CUT STANDARD (CE)
This standard has established ASTM F2992-15 as the test method for
measuring cut resistance on a 9-level scale with the widely recognized
TDM 100 machine that uses a linear sliding blade.
This standard allows for two different testing standards and methods:
The Coup Test using a rotating circular blade and the TDM Test using a
linear sliding blade using the ISO 13977 method.
