Step 4. Fit Test:
The respirator cannot protect you if it does not ot your face. It is recommended that wearers be ot tested in accordance with
AS/NZS 1715: Selection, Use and Maintenance of Respiratory Protective Equipment. It specioes that users of any tight otting
respirators are to be ot tested prior to starting work and then at least annually after this. There are 2 types of facial ot testing:
QUANTITATIVE FIT TEST
A facial ot test giving numerical results and not relying
on the subject9s response to a test agent.
QUALITATIVE FIT TEST
A facial ot test to identify pass/fail results and relying
on the subject9s response to a test agent.
