High Tenacity webbing. 160% in excess
of AS1891.5 requirements. The unique THETA
stitch pattern has 313 stitches resulting in a
strength that matches the lanyards’ tenacity.
Ensuring no weak point in the lanyard assembly.
Stitching patterns are sewn by computer
controlled bar tacking machinery for precision,
using UV resistant high tenacity polyester yarn
with 100 Newton (10kg) breaking strength.

LOWEST MINIMUM FREE CLEARANCE: 5.8M MFC

Be mindful of the area beneath your immediate
workspace and seek out a safety zone. The
safety zone is also referred to as Minimum
Free Clearance (MFC), a straight vertical line
between the point of anchorage and the ground;
the nearest dangerous obstacle or platform.
MFC criteria and risks reduce significantly
if product warning labels are heeded –
All ASNZS 1891.1 and AS1891.5 products
are marked FREE FALL NOT TO EXCEED 2M.
It is imperative that you ensure the MFC below
the work area is sufficient enough to allow
the Fall Arrest System to halt contact with
the obstacle(s).

WARNING:
AS1891.5 and ASNZS1891.4
require that workers attach
at an anchor point to limit
freefall to a maximum of 2m.
The LINQ Energy Absorber
(E.A.) will limit forces to less
than 6kN and restrict E.A.
extension as illustrated
in a typical 2m freefall.
AS1891.5 calculation for 150kg
rated MFC (Minimum Free
Clearance) is E + L + 2.8
E: LINQ energy absorber
deployment after a 2m freefall.
2.8: AS1891.5 estimated
value for worker height, harness
creep and residual clearance.
Drop forged Dee doubles as a leg stowage point
for twin lanyards.
HIGHEST WORKER WEIGHT RATING: 150KG
The Fall Arrest Harness System will not prevent
impact with obstacles or obstructions in the
path of a fall.
L: The undeployed LINQ
lanyard length.
6
The LINQ Shock absorber has been especially
designed by LINQ so to meet AS 1891.5
standard, and boasts the LOWEST minimum
free clearance for workers up to 150kg, keeping
braking forces to less than 6kN and minimum
free clearance below anchor point to less
than 5.8m.
THE LINQ HARNESS AND LANYARD
FALL ARREST SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO
MINIMISE THE IMPACT OF A FALL. WHEN
USED AND FITTED CORRECTLY, YOUR
LINQ HEIGHT SAFETY EQUIPMENT WILL
MINIMISE THE DANGER ASSOCIATED WITH
WORKING AT HEIGHTS.
