BISON DESIGNED AND REFINED
FROM THE FIRST DRAFT TO FINAL PRODUCT AND
EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.
Manufacturing industrial workwear of the highest standard
requires an extensive knowledge base. Ours has grown through
time tested relationships and alignments with the most diverse
range of industries.
Over time it became obvious that in order to provide consistent
quality to a demanding workforce, we’d need to engage Kiwi
ingenuity rather than just relying on foreign suppliers. This
meant taking things back to the drawing board and developing
an in-house New Zealand design and development team.
WE DON’T JUST COMPLY, WE CERTIFY
Our Bison research, design, refine process is now embedded
in the business. It has become instrumental in the creation
of innovative workwear across our entire range. As our name
suggests, we’re about ‘Formidable Protection’ which means
understanding the unique demands of our diverse customer
base to enhance their own performance. The 'design and
refine' process never ceases, allowing us to continually deliver
true improvement and innovation.

THE BISON FIT
Each of our new products are fitted to fit models. Our fit models
are people who actually work in the industry the garment is
designed for. By doing this we get real time feedback about
comfort and movement from people who know how the
garment needs to behave. The industries usual approach is to
use one model that measures true to a standard size, usually
a size large. To get a better sample of our customers we take it
one step further and use two fit models, a size large and a size
4XL. By doing this we are able to develop a realistic size grade.
Our products are fitted by Kiwis for Kiwis.
TRIED AND TESTED BY NEW ZEALANDERS
Each of our new garments are put through a rigorous trial
stage during the development process. The product is trialled
on the ground by actual members of industry. We like to ask
managers to ‘give it to your toughest staff member’. We need
the cold hard truth when it comes to wear testing, we’ll refine
as many times as we need to get it just right.
DESIGNING FOR SAFETY
When it comes to Safety and Standards we don’t just comply,
we certify! Every safety design and batch of fabric we use, from
Hi-Vis to Arcguard, is certified at reputable test houses around
the world. We will not let production commence unless we
have positive test results and pass certification. Certification
is available on request.
