Rare yet often serious pressure ulcers found
on bedridden patients held in the strict lateral
decubitus position. Experts recommend use of
the semi-lateral decubitus position at 30°.
Rare for the elbows, but more common on the heels of
bedridden patients. Experts recommend reducing pressure
on elbows and placing the heel in the dorsal decubitus
position.
