In the South of the island,

Maxwell and Kathrin are the
founders of KiteGlobing at the
Heritage C Beach Club. While
nowadays they offer a whole range
of non-motorised sea sports, such
as kayaking, stand-up paddling
and windsurfing, they made their
name through kitesurfing. The
pair of extreme-sport enthusiasts
offer both youngsters and adults
an introduction to the sport. With
certification from the International
Kiteboarding Association, the
Vancouver Waldorf School and the
Mauritius Qualifications Authority,
KiteGlobing also buys its equipment
from some of the best makers,
including Duotone, one of the
leaders in the sector. There’s no

mastering the wind and the waves
– providing a sense of absolute
freedom, kitesurfing is one of those
