SOLAR PV INSTALLERS COURSE
With utility bills being on the rise, the depleting sources of traditional
fossil fuels and the over use of these fuels reportedly damaging the
environment, more and more people are showing interest in the use of
renewable energy. As this demands grows, adding this qualification to
the list of services you provide could prove a lucrative decision.
This course has been designed to provide existing electricians or
domestic installers a solid understanding of this form of environmental
technology as well as the practical 'hands on' experience of installing
and maintaining solar PV panels.
This course will provide you with an overview of renewable energy
technology and give you the knowledge and the practical application to
install solar PV panels.
The aspects you will cover include:
Health and safety / Regulatory requirements / Components of PV
systems / Understanding the AC and DC systems / Positioning and
installing panels to roofs / Grants and feed in tariffs / Design,
installation, commissioning and testing.
The second unit is designed to provide you with the knowledge and
skill to install and maintain solar PV systems. You will cover:
Health and safety / Requirements for maintenance / Fault finding and
fault rectification / Maintenance and inspection and testing.
This course will be delivered over 6 full days (6 consecutive weekdays
or 3 consecutive weekdays over 2 weeks) and will be both classroom
and workshop based. You will be required to undertake online
examinations and be practically assessed for each part.
