L A N D BACK
Land Back
#LandBack has become a popular moniker that
expresses the basis of a much more complex
process of cultural restoration. When Indigenous people reunite with their homelands and
lifeways, their culture of kinship supports the
healing of the web of life in that bioregion. Reuniting Indigenous people with their relatives,
Land and Water, helps to heal historical wrongs
and invests in our collective future.
The Indigenous worldview holds that humans
are in sacred reciprocity with the ecologies that
support life. This worldview is at the heart of
the leadership that Indigenous peoples bring,
guiding us toward a more sustainable and harmonious future, in contrast to the challenges
posed by the current industrial worldview.

Land is at the heart
of all movements to heal
our fractured world, and
investing in the restoration
of land-based Indigenous
culture is a beacon of
leadership and hope for
all peoples.
