indigenous communities and projects. This approach protects biodiversity and upholds indigenous communities’ cultural, spiritual, and social
identities, ensuring that climate justice honors
intrinsic connection to the land.
*One Small Planet recognizes Indigenous Peoples as those with a deep,
enduring connection to their territories, vital for their cultural, spiritual, and physical survival. As self-determined by the region/community, any attempt at de昀椀ning the term risks being either overly broad or
too narrow.
