Northwest Reel Life April 2024 Volume 3 Issue 7 - Flipbook - Page 4
EDITOR’S CORNER:
Ah, the cruel month of May. Fishing is really kicking into gear, and at the same time, spring cleaning and
yard work take up much of our time and attention. What a trick to play on anglers! Those nice seventydegree days that are starting to pop up pull me in several directions. Should I work on the lawn, plant my
garden, or go chase after spring walleyes? The shop needs straightening up, and those pesky gophers are
running around in the backyard, teasing me into a couple of hours of target practice. Meanwhile, my new
fishing rod and reel is whispering in my year “Take me down a float on the Missouri, and let’s catch some
trout!”
Honestly, I’m not complaining. It’s a blessing to have so many activities calling my name. The challenge,
as always in life, is to find that perfect balance and get it all done! I hope whatever activities are pulling
you in all directions this May, include at least a few fishing trips. Good luck and see you on the water!
