DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIER DIVERSITY PROGRAM
ACTIVITIES DURING THE PREVIOUS CALENDAR YEAR
External Program Activities
In 2023, our Supplier Diversity Team participated in about 30 conferences and events to raise awareness of procurement
opportunities with our business units. At these events, we connected with many new diverse suppliers and later followed up with
business units to see if their services and products match our needs. Additionally, we strengthened our relationships with key
stakeholders from community-based organizations and business associations, who in turn help amplify our outreach and technical
assistance for diverse suppliers.
In September 2023, our CEO Caroline Winn participated in the CPUC's 21st Annual Supplier Diversity En Banc with leaders of investorowned utilities throughout California. She participated in a panel discussion on building a larger supplier pool for the future. It was
the first time the en banc was held in the San Diego area. The day before the en banc, our Supplier Diversity Team and Champion
Ambassadors staffed a booth at the CPUC’s Small and Diverse Business Expo to share information about our Supplier Diversity
Program and network with diverse businesses.
