DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIER DIVERSITY PROGRAM
ACTIVITIES DURING THE PREVIOUS CALENDAR YEAR
SDG&E Supplier Diversity Events
Our Supplier Diversity Team participates and hosts events to promote opportunities for diverse suppliers with internal business
units and prime suppliers. These events provide insight and forecasting of future projects and sourcing opportunities where diverse
suppliers can participate as prime suppliers or subcontractors.
Earth Fair Sustainable Supply Chain Pledge
In April 2023, our Supplier Diversity Team hosted an information table at our annual Earth Fair to share our program highlights. Over
150 employees and executives pledged to support a more sustainable, diverse and inclusive supply chain.
Supplier Diversity Industry Mixer
In May 2023, our Supplier Diversity Team hosted an Industry Night Mixer appreciation event in honor of our suppliers and top
Champion Ambassadors. The purpose of the event was to thank them for their support in helping us achieve our supplier
diversity goals.
Supplier Relationship Management Meetings
To support our prime contractors in achieving their subcontracting goals, our Supplier Diversity Team hosted several meetings
with primes to provide feedback on their subcontracting results and identify opportunities to connect and collaborate with new
diverse businesses.
Supplier Diversity Symposiums
In conjunction with the Council for Supplier Diversity, we hosted symposiums with our internal business stakeholders and Champion
Ambassadors, primes and diverse businesses to explore collaboration and contracting opportunities.
In 2023, with leadership and executive support, our Supplier Diversity Team hosted four symposiums engaging over 120 suppliers.
Participants learned about contracting opportunities in engineering & design services, substation below grade, IT and strategic
underground civil construction.
