CHAMPION AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
Building on earlier success, the Supplier
Diversity Team in 2023 continued to grow
our ambassador program, officially known
as the Champion Ambassador Program. This
program engages and trains employees at
all levels of our company to drive change
by advocating for a diverse supply chain.
Through lunch and learns and training
sessions, champions learned about resources
like the Supplier Clearinghouse and our
subcontracting portal and how they can
support businesses through the diverse
supplier certification process.
Examples of our champions’ efforts
throughout last year include expanding and
identifying opportunities for diverse suppliers
across gas construction, IT and electric
regional operations. Additionally, champions
participated in the CPUC's Small and Diverse
Business Expo, ahead of the 2023 annual
CPUC Supplier Diversity En Banc, to network
with suppliers and community members.
