Dear Sir,
Ca
Theae Tamworth
Referring to your letter T439 of June 11, 1970 about the
Capitol Theatre, Tamworth, we would advise that we are agreeable to
and will be entering into an arrangement, on a weekly tenancy basis,
with Messrs. His cock & McInerney, for the use of the theatre as a
discotheque.
It has been specifically agreed that there are to be no
structural alterations made to the premises. Some stalls seating
will be removed and will be stored in the dress circle area and a
lockable barrier on the vomitory staircases from the dress circle
to the dress circle foyer will be installed. Attached are two
rough plans showing the proposed layout of amusement machines in
the foyer and also the position of the barrier to the dress circle.
We have copies of Tamworth City Council's approval to this
proposal which includes the installation of coin operated amusement
machines in the dress circle foyer area.
Should an inspection of the premises by your department be
necessary this can be arranged by our Tamworth resident manager,
Mr. R. Howard, who is located at the Regent Theatre in Brisbane
Street.
Yours faithfully,
HMS COUNTRY THEATRES PTY. LTD.
Alan McDowall,
DpitjDirector of haiie.
