SUMMARY OFFENCES BILL, 1988 AND COGNATE BILL.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Summary
Offences Bill, 1988 and Cognate Bill, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute 38-101, dated 25th May, 1988, submitted
by the Attorney General in relation to this matter.

CITY OF SYDNEY COUNCIL - GORAN REPORT.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet. Minute 88-103, dated 23rd May, 1988, submitted
by the Minister for Local Government in relation to this
matter, subject to:-

the Minister for Family and Community
Services replacing the Minister for
Industrial Relations and Employment on
the Cabinet sub-Committee.
Cabinet also agreed to the proposed timetable for
further action to be taken which was circulated at the
meeting.
The Minister for Local Government is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.

PUBLIC SECTOR MANAGEMENT BILL, 1988.
Approva1 was given to the provisions of the Public
Sector Management Bill, 1988, as summarised in Cabinet
Minute 83-102, dated 25th May, 1988, submitted by the
Premier in relation to this matter, subject to:the deletion from recommendation 3.9,
of the last sentence "Appeal to GREAT
will be retained".
The reference to 'Term Officers' in
recommendation 3.10 should include
part-time as well as full-time Board
Members.
Cabinet also decided that term officers should not be
permanently ensconsed in the Public Service after
removal from term officer appointments.
