Approval was,given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-53, dated 9th May, 1988, submitted by
the Attorney General in relation to this matter, subject

provided by the Attorney General's
Department from the 1988/1989 Budget

The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE MINING ACT, 1973 WITH RESPECT
TO ACCESS TO AGRICULTURAL AND OTHER LANDS.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 88-33, dated 22nd April,
1988, submitted by the Minister for Mineral Resources
and Minister for Energy in relation to this matter was
deferred to a future meeting.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO AMEND INDUSTRIAL ARBITRATION ACT
1940, IN RELATION TO THE RESOLUTION OF INDUSTRIAL
DISPUTES IN ESSENTIAL SERVICE INDUSTRIES.

ACT 1940 TO ENABLE SUB CONTRACTORS TO SET THEIR OWN
