NATIONAL PARKS (SPECIAL PROVISIONS) AMENDMENT BILL,
Approval was given to the provisions of the National
Parks (Special Provisions) Amendment Bill, 1988, as
summarised in Cabinet Minute 88-57, dated llth May,
1988, submitted by the Minister for the Environment in
relation to this matter, subject to consultation with
the Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE PUBLIC HOSPITALS ACT, 1929
AND AREA HEALTH SERVICES ACT, 1986.

Approval was given to recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-56, dated llth May, 1988, submitted by
the Minister for Health in relation to this matter,
subject to:the Minister for Health discussing the
legislation further, with the Premier/
Treasurer and the Attorney General.
The Minister for Health is to take the necessary action
to give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE STOCK DISEASES ACT, 1923
RELATING TO THE BOARD OF TICK CONTROL.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-43, dated 3rd May, 1988, submitted by
the Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs in
relation to this matter, subject to:Recommendation 2.2 being amended to
provide for appointment of members by
the Governor-in-Council.
Recommendation 2.12 being deleted, and
a new clause inserted, as •
no legal proceedings be allowed
against members of the Board as a
consequence of any bona fide duties
performed by them".
The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
