1979 TO ESTABLISH A PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.
Cabinet Minute 88-37 dated 29th April, 1988, submitted
by the Premier in relation to this matter was deferred.

PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO ESTABLISH AN INDEPENDENT
COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-40, dated 3rd May, 1988, submitted by
the Premier in relation to this matter including the
preparation of the necessary legislation, subject to:
The draft legislation taking into account
concerns expressed and noted by the Premier.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE REGULATION REVIEW ACT,
1987.
The Premier withdrew his Cabinet Minute No. 88-36, dated
29th April, 1988, relating to this matter.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE BAIL ACT 1978.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-32, dated 22nd April, 1988, submitted
by the Attorney General in relation to this matter,
subject to:* The addition at the conclusion of
recommendation 3(c)(i) of the words
"such other person considered by the
court relevant for the protection and
welfare of the community."
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
