PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO AMEND THE BOXING AUTHORITY ACT,
1986.
Consideration was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute 88-173, dated 29th July, 1988,
submitted by the Minister for Sport, Recreation and
Racing, in relation to this matter.
Cabinet decided that:*

Recommendations 3.1.1 and 3.1.3 - Approved;
Recommendation 3.1.2 - Rejected.
The Minister for Sport, Recreation and Racing is to take
the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
PROPOSED N.S.W. TOBACCO ACT.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 88-183, dated 9th
August, 1988, submitted by the Minister for Health and
Minister for Arts, in relation to this matter was
deferred until the next meeting.

PROPOSED
B.H.P. MINI STEEL MILL AT ROOTY HILL.
Approval was given to Option 3 contained in a paper,
'Proposed B.H.P. Mini Steel Mill, Rooty Hill' submitted
by the Deputy Premier, Minister for State Development
and Minister for Public Works, in relation to this
matter.
The Deputy Premier, Minister for State Development and
Minister for Public Works, is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
