PHOTO-LICENCE CARDS FOR DRIVERS.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 88-124, dated 8th June,
1988, submitted by the Minister for Transport, in relation
to this matter was deferred until the next meeting for
further debate.
APPOINTMENT OF
ASSISTANT OMBUDSMAN.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Gregory Andrews be appointed as
Assistant Ombudsman, as proposed in Cabinet Minute 88-136,
dated 4th July, 1988, submitted by the Premier in relation
to this matter, including arrangements for the necessary
medical examination.

APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING DIRECTOR, BUSINESS AND CONSUMER
AFFAIRS.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Anthony Clyne be appointed as
Managing Director of Business and Consumer Afairs, as
proposed in Cabinet Minute 88-138, dated 28th June, 1988,
submitted by the Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs,
in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs is to take
the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
APPOINTMENT TO THE INDUSTRIAL

COMMISSION OF NEW SOUTH WALES.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Brian Eugene Vincent Hill,
Q.C., be appointed as a Judge of the Industrial Commission
of New South Wales as proposed by the Attorney General.
Cabinet also decided that Mr. Hill was to have seniority
over the recent appointment of Mr. Gregory Ian Maidment.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to give
effect to Cabinet's decision, including arrangements for the
necessary medical examination.
