APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING DIRECTOR, STATE BANK OF NEW SOUTH
WALES.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. John Anthony O'Neill be
appointed as Managing Director of the State Bank of New South
Wales, from 30th June, 1987, for a term of seven years, as
proposed in Cabinet Minute No. 172-87, dated 12th May, 1987,
submitted by the Treasurer in relation to this matter.
The Treasurer is to take the necessary action to give effect
to Cabinet's decision, including arrangements for the
necessary medical examination.
PROBATION AND PAROLE (PAROLE BOARD) AMENDMENT BILL 1987 AND
COGNATE BILL.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Probation and
Parole (Parole Board) Amendment Bill 1987 and Cognate Bill,
as summarised in Cabinet Minute No. 174-87, dated 13th May,
1987, submitted by the Minister for Corrective Services in
relation to this matter.
MOTOR VEHICLES TAXATION (AMENDMENT) BILL 1987 AND —COGNATES.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Motor Vehicles
Taxation (Amendment) Bill 1987 and Cognates, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute No. 176-87, dated 13th May, 1987, submitted by
the Minister for Roads in relation to this matter.
DRUG MISUSE AND TRAFFICKING (AMENDMENT) BILL 1987.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Drug Misuse and
Trafficking (Amendment) Bill 1987, as summarised in Cabinet
Minute No. 177-87, dated 13th May, 1987, submitted by the
Attorney General in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Health, and the Drug Offensive undertook to
submit a Paper on Bongs and Drug Paraphernalia to the next
meeting.
