WORKERS COMPENSATION BILL, 1937 AND COGNATE BILLS.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Workers
Compensation Bill, 1987 and Cognate Bills, as
summarised in Cabinet Minute No. 161-87 dated 8th
May, 1987, submitted by the Minister for Industrial
Relations, and Employment in relation to this matter.
Cabinet decided that the Minister for Industrial
Relations, and Employment would consult with the
Minister for Health in regard to Medical Hospital
Costs and that this matter would be reviewed at
Cabinet on 26th May, 1987.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO PROVIDE FOR CONSERVATION
AGREEMENTS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 364-85 dated 18th November,
1985, submitted by the Minister for Planning and
Environment in relation to this matter, subject to:the decisions of the Policies and
Priorities Committee of 9th April,
1987.
The Minister for Planning and Environment is to take
the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO ESTABLISH THE PEACE TRUST.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 128-87 dated 24th April, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Finance in relation to
this matter, subject to:the amendments proposed by the
Minister for Finance in his letter
dated 8th May, 1997.
The Minister for Finance is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
