PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT,
1919 RELATING TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT MEMBERS
ALLOWANCES.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 112-87, dated 16th April,
1987, submitted by the Minister for Local Government
in relation to this matter, subject to:The deletion of the proposal to index fees to
the Consumer Price Index.
The Minister for Local Government is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
I egislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE TRANSPORT ACT, 1930,
AND THE STATE TRANSPORT (CO-ORDINATION) ACT, 1931,
TO REDUCE THE COST OF THE SCHOOL STUDENT TRANSPORT
SCHEME AND TO ENABLE THE RATIONALISATION OF BUS
SERVICES.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 151-87 dated 6th
May, 1987, submitted by the Deputy Premier, and
Minister for Transport in relation to this matter,
was deferred for two weeks.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO PROVIDE FOR CONSERVATION
AGREEMENTS.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 364-85 dated
18th November, 1985, submitted by the Minister for
Planning and Environment in relation to this matter,
was deferred until the next meeting at Parliament
House, at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, 12th May, 1987.
AIR TRANSPORT (AMENDMENT) BILL 1987.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Air
Transport (Amendment) Bill 1987, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute No. 154-87 dated 7th May, 1987,
submitted by the Deputy Premier, and Minister for
Transport in relation to this matter.
