WORKERS COMPENSATION BILL, 1987 AND COGNATE BILLS.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 161-87 dated 8th
May, 1987, submitted by the Minister for Industrial
Relations, and Employment in relation to this
matter, was deferred until the next meeting at
Parliament House, at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, 12th May,
1987.
REVENUE LAWS (RECIPROCAL POWERS) BILL 1987 AND
COGNATE BILLS.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Revenue
Laws (Reciprocal Powers) Bill 1987 and Cognate
Bills, as summarised in Cabinet Minute No. 104-87
dated 6th April, 1987, submitted by the Minister for
Finance in relation to this matter.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE LIQUOR ACT, 1982.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 109-87 dated 10th April, 1987,
submitted by the Treasurer in relation to this
matter, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
The Treasurer is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN AND
REGULATE A LINK PROGRESSIVE SYSTEM OF POKER
MACHINES IN REGISTERED CLUBS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 140-87 dated 28th April, 1987,
submitted by the Treasurer in relation to this
matter, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
Cabinet also decided that a Cabinet sub-Committee
was to be established to develop assessment
procedures. The sub-Committee is to consist of:*
